Fabric of the Land is a series of exhibitions that explores links between art and science and is brought to you by the Geology & Petroleum Geology Department at the University of Aberdeen.

The brief encourages artists to submit artworks that consider the origin of colour within the environment and landscape from a geological perspective.

Following on from our first exhibition in 2009 we are looking forward to seeing what this year’s entries bring and are excited by our high profile selection panel. Last year we exhibited over 70 works and had more than 500 visitors to the department. This year we hope to increase footfall and to once again display an array of high quality artwork that demonstrates the theme – Origin of Colour.

We are delighted to announce Senergy as our sole sponsor this year and welcome their support for the second consecutive year.

    The exhibition is open weekdays 1.00 p.m - 7.00 p.m and weekends 10.00 a.m - 4.00 p.m.
